The Story Behind AVEN

The Story Behind AVEN

AVEN started with a simple question.

One evening, I was in bed, scrolling on my phone long after I should have been asleep. I felt tired, yet I couldn't fall asleep. I started researching possible causes, and one thing kept coming up: exposure to bright light from screens late in the evening – especially blue light.

That's when I discovered blue light filtering glasses. My first thought was just to buy a pair for myself. But the more I read about them, the more I noticed that many of the options either had an uninspiring design or felt like a cheap accessory, rather than a product one would actually want to use every day.

That's when the idea for AVEN was born.

The goal was to create a pair of glasses that combine a modern, timeless design with lenses developed for people who spend many hours in front of screens. Whether you're a student, work in an office, game, or just use your phone a lot during the day, I wanted to create a product that both looks good and feels natural to wear.

Blue light is a natural part of the visible light spectrum and is found in both sunlight and digital screens such as mobile phones, computers, tablets, and TVs. During the daytime, blue light plays an important role by helping us feel awake and alert. In the evening, however, extensive screen use can make it harder for the body to prepare for sleep, as blue light can affect the body's natural circadian rhythm. Therefore, many choose to use blue light filtering glasses when working late, studying, gaming, or using digital devices before bedtime.

At AVEN, we want to be transparent about what the product does. Blue light filtering lenses reduce the amount of blue light that passes through the lens, but the experience can vary from person to person. Therefore, AVEN is not about promising miracles – it's about offering a well-thought-out product with a focus on quality, comfort, and a design you actually want to use every single day.
